Saturday 21st September saw GB Chief Referee Peter Markland deliver a WAKO Tatami Sports Referee’s course at Jacey Cashman’s SKF Dojo in Crawley.
As well as the overview of rules and a short written test, the course now features a hands on practical element where everyone gets to be centre and corner judge under the watchful eye of Mr Markland.
Live practise with direct feedback from Mr Markland is invaluable particularly when someone is new to refereeing. The session was constructive and well received by those in attendance and we would like to thank SKF Dojo for providing the fighters who worked hard to make the session interesting and valuable.
