Today saw 163 WAKO GB athletes come together (virtually) for a socially distanced squad training session with the GB Coaching team. Using Zoom to deliver the programme, the session started with Head Coach Neville Wray welcoming the squad. The athletes were then broken away to separate rooms to train with the Coaches from their respective disciplines of Point Fighting, Light Contact and Full Contact.
This video provides a highlight of the session from the perspective of the athlete, in this case most of the footage shows 12 year old Younger Cadet Cassius MItchell training with GB Coach’s Tony Anderson and Sharon Gill. Unfortunately we don’t have detailed footage of every session, but it provides a unique view into how team GB is working hard to meet the needs of our athletes during a very difficult period.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the Coaching staff and Admin staff for delivering such a great and well organised event. Well done to all the athletes in attendance. Stay safe, stay fit and we will see you all again very soon
